Business supplies and services: Inventory software for workwear suppliers
Inventory software for workwear suppliers that tracks size stock, branded items per customer and fitting sets, so reorders do not have to wait for a new decoration run.
Where stock drifts for workwear suppliers.
Stock at workwear suppliers comes in layers. Blank items per range, colour and size. Items already decorated with a customer's logo, ready for reorders. Fitting sets constantly travelling to fitting days. And returns that may or may not go back into stock. Without records per layer, branded clothing sits on the shelf for a customer who stopped ordering years ago, a new decoration run starts while pieces are still in stock, and a fitting set is missing exactly the sizes needed on fitting day. A customer who quickly needs a polo for a new starter then waits for no reason.

From receipt to use.
Register stock per layer
Blank items are registered per range, colour and size. Branded items also carry the customer, logo and position, so they are only available to that customer. Fitting sets are a separate stock with a list of the sizes they contain and where the set currently is.
Reserve per employee pack
On an order, the customer's branded items are reserved first, then blank items for decoration. Anything missing becomes an order line with the wholesaler. The planner immediately sees whether a reorder can come from stock or has to wait for decoration.
Process returns and counts
A return is assessed: blank and undamaged goes back into stock, branded goes back into that customer's stock or is written off. At a count the software shows differences per layer. Branded stock that has not moved for a long time is flagged for a conversation with the customer.
Alongside your purchasing and suppliers.
Blank stock is often kept in the stock module of the accounting package or order management, branded stock in a spreadsheet or only on the shelf. Orders with wholesalers go through their web shop or ordering portal. We use existing item codes and add customer, logo and position for branded items. The wholesaler owns product data and lead times, you own the stock levels, and arrangements on customer stock are made with the customer.
Hold customer stock or decorate per order
Branded stock per customer makes reorders quick but ties up money and can be left over if the customer changes supplier or logo. Decorating per order is more flexible, but every reorder waits for the workshop. An agreement with the customer on a limited stock of the most requested sizes, with buy-back on termination, shares the risk.
Own fitting sets or the wholesaler's
Own fitting sets are always available but wear out and need topping up. Some wholesalers lend fitting sets, which is cheaper but makes you depend on their availability. The inventory can track both, so the planner sees which sets are available on which day and which have to come back first.
Returns back to stock or written off
A blank item returned unworn can go back into stock. An item with a logo can only go back into that customer's stock. An item with a name is usually no longer usable. Recording per type of return what happens prevents a branded item accidentally going to another customer.
Which stock we record.
We set up blank stock per line, colour and size, alongside branded stock per customer with logo and position, fitting packs with their location, reservations per staff pack and the handling of returns. Together we replay an ordinary week of reorders, and a customer who changes logo while branded stock is still on the shelf. Then the stock goes live. Reading goods received from wholesalers can be added when you are ready for it.

Explore pricing and optionsHow do we stop branded clothing reaching the wrong customer?
Branded items in stock are tied to a customer and logo. When reserving for an order, only that customer's items are suggested. An item scanned or ticked for a different customer triggers a warning before it goes into the pack.
What do we do with branded stock from a customer who leaves?
The stock is flagged as soon as a customer becomes inactive or changes logo. Then the buy-back arrangement can be carried out: the customer takes the pieces, or they are written off. Without a flag, that stock quietly keeps taking up shelf space.
Can we see which sizes of a range are used most?
Yes, from delivered packs and reorders. That helps decide which sizes belong in blank stock and which are ordered per job. Fitting sets can be put together on the same basis, so a size is missing less often on fitting day.
How do we keep fitting sets complete?
By counting them against their contents list after every fitting day. Missing or damaged pieces are reported and replaced before the set is booked again. The planner sees which sets are complete and which are waiting for top-up.
