Outdoor spaces and grounds: Customer portal for irrigation installers
A customer portal for irrigation installers where owners and site managers find their zone maps, operating instructions and maintenance agreements, and can report a fault or book a seasonal visit themselves.
What customers of irrigation installers want to see.
A year after installation, the owner of an irrigation system often no longer knows which zone serves which part of the garden, or how to switch the controller to manual. The controller manual is in a drawer somewhere, the zone map was never handed over or has been lost. Irrigation installers therefore get many calls with questions that are easy to answer if the client had the right information. A site manager at a business park or a sports club changes, and the successor does not know when the system is winterised. A fault report arrives without it being clear which zone is affected.

From invitation to approval.
Set up access per site
Each client gets access to their own sites. A manager of several locations sees them all, a homeowner only their garden. For each person, you record whether they can only view or may also report faults and make requests, so it is clear who speaks for the client.
Show zone map and instructions
The portal shows per site the zone map with the numbers as they appear on the controller, the operating instructions for the type of controller fitted and the programmes set at handover. Planned seasonal visits are listed too, so the client knows when the system will be started up or drained.
Link reports to zones
A client reports a fault by marking on the zone map which zone is affected, with a short description and a photo if useful. The report reaches the planner with the system file attached. The client sees the status of the report and when a technician will come.
Less email, the same records.
The portal reads from the system file, schedule and maintenance contracts you already have. Zone maps and programmes come from approved job cards, operating instructions from a library per controller type. Reports go to the planner's task list. You decide what is visible; the client manages their contacts and can transfer access when people change. Invoices stay in the accounting package.
Full system file or zone map only
A full file with pipe routes and trench photos is useful for a technical site manager, but too much for a homeowner. A zone map with instructions is enough for most clients. The portal can decide per client what is visible, and make the details available to anyone who asks.
Report faults online or by phone
A report through the portal arrives structured, with zone and photo. With a burst pipe flooding the garden, a client would rather phone straight away. The portal can show a phone number for emergencies and a report form for anything that can wait, so every report comes in by the right route.
Seasonal visit confirmed or automatic
A seasonal visit booked automatically stops clients forgetting. Still, some clients want to decide when the system is drained, for example in a warm autumn. The portal can show a proposed date that the client confirms or moves. A confirmed date avoids a wasted trip.

In the client portal, each site has zone maps with operating instructions, planned seasonal visits and a button to report faults per zone. Together we try it out with a homeowner who no longer remembers how to switch a zone on manually, and with a sports club whose new site manager reports a leak but does not know which zone it is. Confirming seasonal visits and fuller files for site managers can be switched on later.

Explore pricing and optionsCan clients change run times in the portal?
No, the portal shows the programmes but does not change the controller. If the controller works through an app, the client uses that app. The portal does show what was set at handover, so the client can go back if a change does not work out.
What if a client does not recognise the zone numbers?
The zone map uses the numbers shown on the controller, with a description such as front lawn or back border. At handover, the technician can go through the map with the client. Later, the client recognises which zone serves which part of the garden.
Can landscapers have access too?
Yes, if the client wants that. A landscaper maintaining the garden can see the zone map and report a fault, for example when a sprinkler has been hit by a mower. The client decides who has access and can withdraw it at any time.
How does the client see when the system will be winterised?
The planned seasonal visit appears in the portal with its date. If the planner changes the date, the client sees the new one. After the visit, a short report appears, so the client knows the system is drained and the controller set to its winter mode.
