Construction and installation: Quotation software for facade cleaning contractors
Quotation software for facade cleaning contractors that calculates area per facade section, access, method and equipment together, with the outcome of the test area recorded as a starting point.
Where quotes for facade cleaning contractors get stuck.
A facade cleaning quote is more than square metres times a rate. The rear elevation above an extension is harder to reach than the street front, a bay window or dormer takes extra time, and windows, frames and plants need covering. Facade cleaning contractors often work it out in a spreadsheet with the total area, then add the cherry picker or scaffold as a separate item. What was agreed at the test area, such as the chosen method and a second pass on stubborn spots, is missing from the quote. When an extra treatment comes up during the work, nobody can tell whether it was agreed.

From enquiry to signed quote.
Split the building into sections
The planner divides the building into facade sections: front, side, rear, plinth, and perhaps a bay or chimney. For each section he records area, material, soiling and working height. The quote can then differ per section, for instance a different method for the stone plinth than for the brickwork above.
Method and equipment per section
For each section he picks the method that gave the best result on the test area and the equipment needed to reach it: ladder, mobile tower, cherry picker or scaffold. Covering windows, catching run-off water and barriers on the pavement become separate lines, so nothing disappears under a general item.
Fix the test area as agreement
The quote refers to the approved test area with photo and date. It states what the owner accepted as a result and what is not achievable, such as rust stains that have soaked deep in. On acceptance it is fixed which sections are treated, with which method and to what result.
Alongside your calculations and price lists.
Facade cleaning contractors often use a spreadsheet for areas, a price list per method and quotes from a word processor or accounting package. Prices per method and rates for equipment hire stay yours; the quote module calculates with them. If the cherry picker is hired, hire prices come from your own arrangements with the hire company. Accepted quotes move on to scheduling and later to invoicing, with the facade sections as the basis.
Price per square metre or per section
A price per square metre is clear to the customer but ignores a hard-to-reach rear elevation. A price per facade section, built from area, method and access, is easier to defend. The customer can still see one total but understands why the rear costs more.
Test area before or after acceptance
A test area before quoting makes the price more accurate but costs time that is not always recovered if the customer walks away. A test area as the first step after acceptance is more efficient, but the quote then needs a condition. Many facade cleaning contractors charge the test area separately and credit it on order.
One method or a combination
One method for the whole facade is easy to schedule and explain. But a facade with brickwork, concrete lintels and a stone plinth does not respond the same everywhere. A quote with different methods per section is more complex but prevents damage and disappointment about the result.
How it already runs at similar businesses.
What we prepare in the quotes.
From the start the quote splits a facade into sections, with method and equipment per section and the test area as a fixed part. We walk through a terraced house with one brick facade with you, and a corner building whose natural stone plinth needs another method and whose rear can only be reached by cherry picker from the neighbours' grounds. Quotes for managers with several buildings and following up open quotes are set up when you take on those clients.

Explore pricing and optionsCan we show cherry picker hire separately in the quote?
Yes. Equipment appears as its own line with the facade section that needs it. If one cherry picker serves several sections, it appears once with a note saying which. The customer sees what the equipment adds to the price.
How do we record what the test area showed?
The quote includes the test area with before and after photos, the method used and the date the owner reviewed it. A short note describes what did and did not come off. That becomes the reference point at handover.
What if the association only wants part of the facade done?
Then the planner selects only the sections that fall within the order. The quote shows the other sections as options with their own price. The association can choose without a new quote, and it is clear which sections are outside the order.
Can we add a water repellent as an option?
Yes, as a separate option per facade section, with a short note on why you do or do not recommend it for that stone. It is then not an automatic surcharge but a deliberate choice by the customer based on your advice.
What often connects to this.
- Enquiry form for facade cleaning contractorsAn enquiry form for facade cleaning contractors that asks about facade material, contamination, working height and access, so the planner knows which test area and which equipment are needed.
- Digital job cards for facade cleaning contractorsDigital job cards for facade cleaning contractors with the approved test area, the facade sections and work agreements, so the crew works towards the result the owner signed off.
- Invoicing software for facade cleaning contractorsInvoicing software for facade cleaning contractors that builds the invoice from treated facade sections, equipment days and second passes on the job card, and sends it per building with a payment link.
