Construction and installation: Customer portal for EV charger installers
A customer portal for EV charger installers where customers, employers and residents' associations find handover documents, charger IDs and service requests per charging location.
What customers of EV charger installers want to see.
After installation, customers of EV charger installers regularly ask for their charger ID, because the management provider or their employer needs it for reimbursement. They look for the handover report for insurance or when selling the house. Employers want an overview of all chargers at their drivers' homes, and building managers want to know per space who uses the charger and when it was handed over. The office digs those details out of email and folders and sends them round again and again, and with a fault the customer calls without knowing exactly which charger is affected.

Limit access by role
A homeowner sees their own charger. An employer sees their drivers' chargers with status and charger ID, but not the photos of the home. A building manager sees every charger in the car park, per space. Who sees which details is agreed in advance and set per role.
Show handover documents and IDs
After handover, the report, charger ID, serial number and manual appear in the portal automatically. If a charger is replaced or reconfigured, the new version is added and the old one stays visible as history. The customer always knows which details are current.
Requests per charger
The customer reports a fault from the portal against the right charger, with a photo of the display or status light. The office immediately sees type, location, installation date and earlier requests. Replies and appointments are added to that request, so the customer can follow progress without calling.
Less email, the same records.
Handover reports now sit in folders or email, and charger IDs sometimes only with the management provider. The portal pulls documents from the job cards and IDs from the registration. Charging sessions and tariffs stay with the provider; the portal links to them. The installer owns documents and requests, the provider owns sessions and cards, and the customer owns their own requests and photos. Invoices stay in the accounting package and appear only as a status.
Your own portal or the provider's
Many management providers have their own app for sessions and cards. Handover documents and the installer's service requests usually do not belong there. Your own portal for documents and service, with a link to the provider's app for sessions, stops customers wondering where to go. Make clear per topic which environment leads.
How much the employer sees
Employers want to know whether a driver's charger works and to split costs. They do not need photos of the home or personal details. Agree per employer which details are visible and record it, so drivers also know what their employer can see. Drivers then trust the portal more.
Requests through portal or phone
A request through the portal arrives complete, with charger and photo. Phoning is sometimes quicker for the customer, especially with a charger that will not start just as they need to leave. Both routes stay open, but the office logs a phone request in the same system, so the history per charger stays complete.

What customers find in the portal.
The client portal opens with access for homeowners and employers, handover documents and charger IDs per charger, and fault reporting with photos. Per employer we agree which details they see. Before going live we walk through two situations: a driver looking up their charger ID for their employer, and an employer who wants to see which drivers are still waiting for installation. A role for building managers and an overview per car park can be added later.

Explore pricing and optionsCan a driver forward their charger ID to their employer themselves?
Yes. The charger ID is in the portal and can be copied or shared. If the employer has access, they already see it. That takes one of the most common post-handover questions off the office's plate.
What exactly does a building manager see?
Per parking space: whether there is a charger, when it was handed over, which type it is and whether requests are open. Who uses the charger is only visible if the resident has agreed. Charging sessions and costs stay with the management provider.
What if a customer moves and leaves the charger behind?
Access is transferred to the new occupant, who sees the handover documents and the manual. The link with the management provider and any employer reimbursement have to be set up again; the portal shows which steps that involves.
Are customers told when their request is picked up?
Yes. At each step, such as request received, appointment made and resolved, the customer gets a message and can see in the portal what is happening. A phone call to ask how things stand is then usually unnecessary.
