Repairs and specialist services: Customer portal for robot mower service companies
A customer portal for robot mower service companies where customers can view their mower's service history, the status of winter storage and their next appointment themselves.
What customers of robot mower service companies want to see.
In autumn, customers of robot mower service companies call to ask when their mower will be collected, and in spring when it will be back. In between they want to know whether the blades were changed at the last service or how old the battery is. Anyone with several mowers on a business site wants to see per mower what has happened. The office digs that information out of emails, the schedule and paper tickets. Meanwhile the stockroom holds dozens of mowers in winter storage, and the question of which belongs to whom and what still needs doing only gets answered when the customer asks.

From invitation to approval.
Access per customer and mower
Each customer sees their own mowers with model and serial number. A manager of a business site or complex sees every mower across their properties. Access is through a personal link or a permanent login. You decide which details are visible, such as the mower card or only the service history.
Show history and storage
For each mower the portal shows which service was carried out, which parts were replaced and when. In autumn the customer sees whether the mower has been collected, whether winter service is done and when it is due back. If something was found that needs extra work, it appears as a proposal.
Sign up and respond
Customers sign up for winter service through the portal, choose whether to drop off or have the mower collected and can accept a proposal for extra work. Those responses reach the office as a task on the right mower, so stockroom and scheduling can act on them straight away.
Less email, the same records.
Customer details usually live in the accounting package or a customer list, the winter list in a spreadsheet and service history on tickets or in emails. The portal reads from those existing sources and adds the storage status. The manufacturer's app remains the customer's place for changing settings; the portal is about service. You own the history and storage status, the customer owns their contact details and choices such as collection or drop-off.
Personal link or permanent login
A homeowner with one mower needs no more than a link per season to see the storage status. A manager with mowers on several sites prefers a permanent login with an overview. Both can coexist, with the link showing only the details of that one mower.
Extra work via proposal or straight away
Winter service sometimes reveals that a battery or wheel needs replacing. A proposal in the portal lets the customer choose, but the work waits until they respond. An agreement up front that small replacements under a set amount can go ahead without asking speeds things up. You decide which route fits.
Share the mower card or not
The card helps customers know where the wire runs while gardening, which can prevent breaks. Then again, some customers start asking about details that do not concern them. A simplified view showing only the wire route, without joints or internal notes, is often a good choice.

Per mower the customer sees the service history and winter storage status, signs up for winter service and accepts proposals for extra work. Access is through a personal link, which we set up at the start. Together we try a homeowner having their mower collected, and a customer who moves house mid-winter and wants the mower returned to a different address. Permanent logins for managers go on whenever you want them.
View pricingSupport and updatesGood to know.
Explore pricing and optionsCan customers choose their own return date?
They can give a preference, such as a week when they are at home. The planner builds the rounds and confirms the final date. Customers can have their say without the round falling apart through one-off appointments.
What do customers see while their mower is in storage?
They see that it was collected, whether winter service was carried out and what was done, and the planned return period. If something needing extra work was found, the proposal is shown alongside. They no longer need to call to find out where their mower is.
Can several users share one account?
Yes, for business customers. A manager can give a colleague or landscaping contractor access to the mowers at a site. You decide whether those extra users can only view or may also accept proposals, and the access can be withdrawn at any time.
Do customers have to use the portal?
No. Anyone who prefers to phone or email can carry on doing so; the office sees the same data either way. The portal mainly cuts down questions about storage and history, which take up a lot of time in autumn and spring.
