Yes. A hired lift is booked as an external resource, with its delivery and collection times. The planner can see whether the lift will be in place in time for the job, and the hire company's confirmation stays with the job.
What if the customer wants to move the date?
The planner immediately sees which other days have crew and equipment available for this job and offers those to the customer. The old booking for lift and carriers is released, so another job can take that slot.
Does the crew see the schedule on the day?
Yes, the crew leader sees the crew's jobs in order with addresses, preparations and equipment. If the planner changes something, for instance because a job overran, the crew leader sees it straight away and can let the next customer know they will be later.
