The inventory has arrived. Clarify lift dimensions and loading access before proposing a firm vehicle and crew allocation.
The same room count does not mean the same work.
One customer has few possessions and loading space outside. Another has heavy furniture, a narrow staircase and no suitable lift at the destination. A form containing only addresses and room count provides little context. We organize enquiries so inventory, access and additional work can be assessed separately before your team prepares a proposal.

Collect inventory step by step
Let customers list items by room and identify pieces requiring attention. Photographs can add context but do not automatically replace a survey or follow-up question. Keep uncertain items visible.

Assess both locations
Ask about loading access, floors and lifts separately for departure and destination. A suitable lift at one address says nothing about the other. Your team decides whether further preparation is required.

Keep assumptions with the quotation
Record the inventory, preferred date and work included in the proposal. Later additions such as storage or extra furniture flag it for reassessment. An enquiry is not a confirmed schedule.
Make the handover to scheduling clear.
Quotation preparation can connect to existing CRM or scheduling software. We agree what transfers after approval and which system manages the final allocation. Vehicles and crews must not be double-booked because both the form and calendar create reservations. Confirmation follows your team’s agreed review process.
- The destination changes after the enquiry
- Retain the new location details and flag the implications for review. Distance and access can change even when the inventory stays the same.
- Some items go into storage first
- Separate delivery stages and associate goods with each stage. One overall destination is insufficient for this move.
- The customer also needs packing or dismantling
- Include those tasks explicitly in the enquiry and proposal. Clarify what the customer prepares and what your team performs.

Yes, with agreed formats, limits and access. Images support the inventory process; your team can still request further information.
