Privacy does not need to block marketing. It mainly requires clear choices: what do you measure, why, and when do you ask for consent?
Not every cookie is the same
- Necessary: forms, security, login and preferences.
- Analytics: measure how visitors use your site.
- Marketing: advertising pixels, remarketing and campaign attribution.
Consent must work technically
A banner is not enough if scripts load before consent. Tracking should start only after the visitor's choice is known.
Practical: document every script you use and classify it as necessary, analytics or marketing.
Forms are part of privacy too
Ask only for details required for follow-up. Explain what happens after submission and do not send data to unnecessary tools.
